Years of working understaff and under paid for the amount of work health care professions put up with is just sad. Its a profession thats mostly run by corporate to make as much money off peoples suffering as possible.

Youd think they would go on strike for the pay alone that doesnt match the work load, but theyre so manipulated into such deep guilt they couldnt dare take the time off.

This includes nursing, pharmacy techs, veterinary techs, etc.

veterinary techs

to a lesser degree. they don't have to deal with pets getting the coronavirus.
of course they say "dogs/cats can get it".

the vet tech i see charges a reasonable rate. does a good job of caring for my pet.
she had gotten sick several times in her life.

edit: no humans can enter the clinic. an assistant gets the pet from the human outside. then returns when they get problem fixed.

hospitals, especially during a pandemic, get special treatment in the legal system. if workers started striking or just walking out you can be damn sure that you'd see courts throwing around injunctions and the cops coming in to force them back to work.

Stockholm syndrome isn't actually real, if you read up on the origins the tl;dr is a group robbed a bank and the cops were gonna open fire and kill everyone inside including hostages, then the hostages pleaded to have them open communications and the like. And when some of the hostages were released they told the police not to be so reckless there's still people inside and the robbers weren't even that dangerous. The police did their cop stuff. Then the hostages tried telling the media that the cops were reckless and trying to get them killed. Insert a police psychologist who never even spoke with the hostages, he comes up with Stockholm syndrome because why else would the hostages be angry with the police who saved them and why else would they have wanted the robbers to be safely arrested? The media shut the hostages out because they were obviously tainted and the psychologist made money writing a paper on this thing he didn't even observe.

If hospital nurses went on strike it wouldnt last long at all before changes were to occur. Take away the support beams and the building crumbles. Theyre so guilted and over worked in a profession around compassion that they couldnt possibly all have the heart to leave their patients.

Yeah its garbage. There are more LPNs than RNs and they make around 40-50k which is also garbage. Healthcare insurance takes a huge chunk out of that too. Its a 24/7 job that requires an education and high amount of skill. Its not worth it for the amount of work they do and how purposely short staffed they are.
