I drew Garou from OPM, took 4 hours to finish (idk how tf murata can do 10+ panels in a dayshit is inhuman) and the OPM subreddit removed it for being a low quality post, since fan art is overflowing there...so, I figured Id share here, and encourage everyone to share some of their recent stuff.

I argued with the mods over it. Ive posted stuff there before drawn the same way in the same style (Ill post those in a little bit) and no issue.

They basically said that drawing a manga paneleven if not a direct copy (which mine isnt) is less creative than taking an existing panel and coloring it (which the sub is flooded with). Like...how tf can the mods not see drawing something like this is not even comparable to throwing some color on an existing panel.

Anyways, yeah fuck them. The whole reason I draw is to share my work with others, get feedback, etcso pretty frustrating being told I cant post it there.

I do digital paintings entirely using the brush tool in photoshop, I love doing pet portraits. This was a Christmas gift for the past season.

These the other two submissions they allowed a little while back. The Garou close up was my first OPM drawing, Saitama 2nd, and the one up top is my 3rd.

I like drawing DBZ a lot, but its not very complex. Completing something out of the OPM manga is far more challenging/rewarding

I don't draw. I sort of can, or well, used to draw, but it's been years since I made anything of the kind.
I'm more of a photography type, and even there it's infrequent.
So... years ago, I had a habit of taking pics of my cars in Gran Turismo 5, some with an artistic flair, while others could be easily mistaken for the genuine article.

I always loved to sketch in school, but never worked with traditional paints (always hated the maintenance and supply managing that came along with it). I got a wacom intous4 graphics drawing tablet my first or second year into college and it made a huge difference in opening up the world of painting without all the extra work of getting canvas, paints, caring for brushes, etc. So much easier to get in there and crank out hours of work on the painting itself.

I've gotten faster over the years, that portrait probably took 8-10 hours.

You even got the reflection of the hand holding the iPhone camera taking the pic in the dogs eye. That is some impressive detail work.
