It doesn't make sense from a flavor standpoint, it doesn't make sense with scum probably without an unblockable, and it doesn't make any sense with the way ulti played the game.

I disagree with everything here except the scum not having an unblockable point. That one is actually fair.

And yeah Banana, Scum never claims off safe-list.

That said, I assume you're on the lynch me train too yeah? Any thoughts on the theory that Ulti is WoL elidibus?

as i stated earlier in the day (honestly surprised that you forgot), we have to vote for you in the off-chance that you're zenos, who has the flavor of doggedly pursuing the PC for a duel, murdering people until he's given that chance. he even possesses the PC's body for a short time.

to address your anxiety- if your role is actually Ardbert, i feel confident in the only WoL being the legit one. Lore-wise, the player character and Ardbert are specifically split copies of the same person (named "Azem") across multiple dimensions. They can't just merge with just any warrior of light, it has to be specifically someone with the same soul

Elidibus's soul is also very explicitly whole- not split in any way

Again, I can't put anything past a crazy mafia setup, but I'd consider it a huge stretch and maybe even a huge prank by ben to give you that role and not have a legit WoL

i do think ulti being cagey about his flavor is unnerving

I've been raiding Savage content for long enough that I know I will just keep on respawning after dying 100 times to the same fight. Good times.

This is typically either non-canon or us giving a retelling to someone with exaggerated mechanics.

Lol was mostly just a joke about the fact that Savage whoops my ass. The point was you'll always just keep respawning, regardless of fight difficulty.

that's true. all of this is ascended metagaming, but i guess i read more into tavish's explicit wording of "merging souls", whereas elidibus inhabited ardbert's lifeless corpse as he is wont to due (the flavor kind of fits the janitor)

I was basing it more on Haurchefaunt flipping BG than anything.

Not to mention I can walk into any Castrum in the realm right now and take infinite pistol shots to the face because I'm so much higher leveled. Point is, I can think of excuses to have the WoL be bulletproof. I'm not saying Ulti is, I'm just saying I can make it fit the flavour pretty easily.

At any rate I guess this conversation really doesn't matter. You think Ulti is lying. So do you think Ulti is lying scum or lying town?

i don't think the bulletproof aspect is much worth getting hung up on. people claim bulletproof when they don't want to die

i certainly hope a merged town character would be BP- we have to sacrifice a day vote and town-aligned role just for their shonen power-up process

Ulti claimed bulletproof because he wanted to. The idea that he had some form of gameplay tactic other than wanting to garner attention is probably taking it too far.

Just popping in to say my opinion hasnt changed.

im going to look over Mikes posts one more time before end of day to really make sure he was suicidal and not trying to pull a fast one, but assuming I dont see anything that jumps out at me I think Ulti scum makes the game make much more sense.

Noted. Can you go deeper into why? I can understand a lot of reasons why, but I'd like to hear it in your own words especially since you're a newer player. Are you not worried at all about Ulti flipping scum, especially with multiple logical theories supporting that being a possibility?

yeah I am worried a bit about ulti flipping scum, but don't really think there is a big chance of it, I am just worried about ulti lying as a town player

Your reasoning doesn't make sense, Tidus. Ulti is the WoL. He's confirmed this multiple times.

Unless you truly believe I can keep controlling the lynch and turning it into a 1v1 and lynch more town over and over after lynching town Ulti your argument is flawed.

And even if you do think that, it makes no sense because that would be a complete balance nightmare.

for the entire town winning, if there are 3 mafia, like, does the amount of town stay the same or decrease if ulti dies? 6v3(9 left with 3 mafia 6 town no 3rd) or 5v3(9 left with 3 mafia 5 town and 1 3rd)?

If Ulti dies (and is town) it becomes 6v3 because I win with town and for all intents and purposes will be a town member. Hence ?Third Party?.

If Ulti dies (and is scum) it becomes 7v2.

If I die it will be 6v3 regardless of If Ulti is town or scum.

This is without getting into the fact that there appears to be some random invisible alive person.

Okay then, after that, it seems it will be better to vote out ulti instead

The problem with the first paragraph is with you claiming third party, town cannot trust you and we have to assume 4v4 tomorrow.

In fact, the most town play you can make if you truly are town aligned is unvoting me and welcoming the lynch. Because you havent done this, I dont buy that you lose the game no matter what, yet youre allowed to communicate with me (town) from behind the scenes after death anyway.

I don't lose the game no matter what. I never said that. I win with town regardless of what happens here because I fulfilled my win condition of finding you and doing this stupid 1v1 vote.
