Finally got around to watching this.

If Julieta can heal with food, then why come Mirabel (or Agustin, or anyone else in their village) needs glasses?

They don't wear glasses to see, it's a fashion choice

Dolores and Abuela were both equally evil and should have been exiled in Bruno's place.

How convenient that Abuela doesn't apologize until she's practically extinct and suffered her family decades of mental illness. And Dolores? She never even apologized for instigating the true destruction of the Encanto by opening her mouth at the engagement dinner. How dumb do you have to be to out the prophetic vision by your uncle that led him to exile and in the same almost did it to Mirabel? She overheard Mirabel and her father arguing about the consequences if the secret got out, and Dolores clearly did not care. Imagine keeping a secret for a decade your shunned uncle was living in the walls of your home, but not that your sister was accursed with a prophecy she had no control over, which itself was stemmed because the grandmother was in need of meds and therapy.

So many kids are going to react to this film the same way the previous generation did to the madness of Lilo & Stitch. With a dysfunctional family that just argues for 90 minutes and it magically all gets better, what emotion other than anger does Disney expect as a reaction?

The biggest plot hole appears to be Dolores not hearing things which she should have.

The discussion we were having is who got it worse: Mirabelle or the lady whos emotions affect the weather. That seems like a net negative superpower. Id rather have Megs fingernail thing.
