When they say vaccinated dont have to wear a mask but unvaccinated do are they gonna be checking for cards at the entrance. Cause if not theres no point.

California has still been enforcing masks for everyone indoors. I think they're about to lift it though, once cases go down some more.

I can't speak for anywhere else but here in Philadelphia you need proof of vaccination to enter restaurants, museums, etc. but only restaurants/bars allow for no masks upon entry for obvious reasons.

Seems like a fair situation and hardly anyone complains about it in this city.

My favorite will always be restaurant/bar mask mandates. You're walking outside with no mask because you're outside. You put your mask on and walk up to the host/ess. You are seated. After 30 seconds, mask comes off for an hour while you eat and drink around dozens of other maskless patrons.

Pick a lane. Either enforce it like they do on airplanes (ONLY taking the mask down between drinks/bites), or don't bother with the song and dance.

I don't know you tell me: retail stores and the like are always struggling to hold onto staff as it is...you honestly think they're going to have some teenager verifying whether everyone has a card or not? you honestly thought this was ever possible? do you really?

Its been several months since I was there but it definitely came as a shock how relaxed they were. I was expecting masks on everywhere.

You realize that Denver is a city within Colorado correct? The mayor of Denver made that mandate specifically for that city. It had no effect on the rest of the state. There is a difference between a state and a city within a state I cant believe I actually have to explain this

Sisolak. Ever since he put the current statewide mandate in effect last summer he hasn't said one word or given any sort of update about it. He knows he's out come November so he'll probably just leave it up until then.

At this point in the game, it comes down to what you're willing to risk. If you're worried about it, get triple vaxed and wear your mask everywhere.
If you can't get vaxed or have someone at home that can't, take all the extra precautions you can. Nearly every grocery store delivers food or will allow you to do curbside pick up.
Wear your mask at work and stay away from your coworkers if possible.

People are free to decide from themsleves what they want to do. Either way studies show masks do little anyway and it's not a "vaccine" so whatever make people hate you and rightfully so for telling them what to do when you have no moral authority in the matter. They won't forget it and won't forgive you.

It was always that. As the data came out, it became clear the mandates weren't doing anything to stop the spread. As the experimental jabs came out it became clear they didn't prevent people from catching it or spreading it as seen all over the world. This will be here forever and there is nothing we can do about it, for now. Mad about it? Blame China and those responsible for leaking this out to the world.

You honestly didn't know they changed the definition of vaccine? Hahaha. You wonder why they call it a flu vaccine now when it was just the flu shot? A vaccine used to be a dose that prevented you from getting a disease. This never did that, but the public wouldn't be willing to get it if they called it what it really is, so they changed the definition to include it. Very 1984, and you fell for it. Many such cases!

this is true.
very lucky to have the mandate gone at the end of the month. hopefully the hospital numbers are down in that state probably be fine.

i have to wait sometime after spring break for mandate to not be enforced.
even then i plan to wear a mask anyway because it helps my anxiety some.

Well the polio vaccine is 90-99% effective. That's pretty damn close. Nobody said all vaccines are 100% effective for everyone. Problem is this China virus one doesn't seem to prevent anyone from getting it at all :/ too bad. It's very hard to do. We haven't been able to prevent the cold from spreading yet...

The mRNA vaccines do indeed reduce transmission and prevent infection. Try again.

That's nice. Even if that's all true, my point still stands. It still doesn't prevent you from catching it or spreading it. Does it help? Probably. How much? I'll defer to experts and studies to hash that out over the coming years. Too much BS coming from both sides and I just don't care anymore. I'll do what I can personally.

I'm in WA and I know a lot of doctors and nurses. I'd say 90% of the people I know who got it were vaccinated. I hardly new anyone who got it until recently. Yeah anecdotal but whatever.

Im struggling with what it means by get COVID-19? I assume the unvaccinated are more likely to display symptoms, be tested, or otherwise aware. Would or could not vaccinated people get it and be transmitting none the wiser? Just curious how these studies are approached and transmission vectors works on one hand you are probably diminishing the viral load but whats the breakpoint load to begin with and how much if any does that diminish?
