It just came out - we'll see what (if any) it gets.

But the fact that it exists at all (instead of simply being another standard main series title) is a huge step forward, even if it's not a very fleshed-out one.

Yeah I love it. The damage scaling is pretty different. I've had pokemon in the single digits do more than half damage to pokemon in their late 20s, not even just alphas. In the regular games similar attacks would usually do 1-3 HP.

It's also kind of amusing to see what they decided to have been aggressive.

Also alphas in general can be hilarious. My wife got a happiny which is now a blissey and it's just massive. The egg is like half the size of the PC.

I'm a huge fan of the move tutor as well.

Idk as for me I semi quit Pokemon in gen 4. The game was so bad I couldn't finish it. When 5 came out the Pokemon designs were so bad I didn't even bother. I bought X/Y and liked it but still not enough to finish it and completely skipped S/M US/UM and also completely skipped Swish. The series just was shit and the only thing going for it was nostalgia.

Legends Arceus is legitimately fun.

Yeah, I had my doubts, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's turning out to be my favorite Pokmon game.

You put way too much weight on graphics and not enough on fun my friend. Maybe a movie is more your speed.

I mean the graphics are still pretty much fucking garbage but the game is fun enough that I can look past it.

Eh, there were definitely people saying it would be a bad game purely based off the graphics. Granted, there are always dumb takes like that, even when there are legit criticisms to be made.

I might be interested in giving theoretical BW remake a try if it had Home integration and I could import Pokemon that I actually liked.

It's a real shame that they immediately reverted back to "traditional" Pokemon stories and regions in Gen 6. Unova was so much cooler than all the other regions.
Gen I through IV = Japan
Gen V = New York City
VI = France
VII = Hawaii
VIII = England

Japan, France and England are all deciduous forest areas. Hawaii is tropical but still has a lot of forest.

Unova was a giant city and suburbs.
