Would you drive over this bridge?

The Eshima Ohashi Bridge, linking the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato in Japan. The steep incline is to allow ships to pass underneath.

Before I read the topic I thought it looked like the Bourne or Sagamore Bridges used to get to Cape Cod, MA. The Blue Water Bridge to cross into Canada from Michigan was a lot scarier when I was a kid in the 50's.

Sure; if I had to. I'm not afraid of tall bridges.

But I wouldn't go out of my way just to "experience" it; those are almost certainly not the hair-raising, rollercoaster-type inclines/declines that the images may seem to suggest.

It's actually only about 6%, which will make your car work to climb it and might give you some trouble if you've got bad brakes, but it's no different than driving on the Grapevine through the Tejon Pass in California (also 6%, and a hell of a lot longer)

The bridge itself doesn't bother me as much as the complete lack of a "run way" at the bottom. seems to not even have much of a straight away and goes immediately into urban area. Would be fucking terrifying going down that steep incline if my brakes locked up or had any issues.
Ideally, there'd be a gradual incline to help slow you down at the end before entering the city streets.
Just my thoughts from the pics...

to be pedantic, I think the bridge is high to allow ships to pass underneath. the incline would be because there is limited space for a lengthier ramp to achieve that height.

I've been through the Grapevine with a fully loaded semi-truck(80k lbs), so this should be a piece of cake on a regularass car.
