I knew from several hot pan/screen accidents that burn pain calmed me down and an incident had just occurred that had me feeling like I was about to snap on my boss so I had to calm down because I may have done something to him that would have been problematic for me. I have a divot similar to Alteres's hand one. A bit smaller. It's right in the left side of my nose, right on the bridge. Was stung several hundred times by a swarm of bees as a kid. One got me right on the nose and it left a little divot/dent scar. I have a surgical scar from my groin to just above my belly button.
