Yeah Arceus might be a top 4-5 pokemon game

Pokmon has been largely crap since Gen 6 so yeah, Arceus is a major improvement.

They have the same issues of being massively underwhelming in certain aspects compared to what franchise the size of Pokemon should be able to put out, but it seems like Legends is a much needed breath of fresh air on the franchise and does have a lot of charm that S&S lacked.

Arceus is probably the best Pokemon game since gold/silver. They finally changed up the formula.

Why is everyone acting like this is a mainline game? This is another side-game with experimental gameplay, like the mystery dungeon games, or the Nobunaga game, this isn't how the main games are going to be played from now on.

I fell for the bitching about the Lets go/Sword/Shield games. Actually tried them last year and they are good fun.

For the most part no, Legends Arceus is not as good as Sword and Shield when it comes to the core experience.

And zero of that takes away that they changed up the formula.

honestly, there's not enough battling, and it's absurdly easy, but i've still been having fun with it. i'd say it's probably not better than SwSh if you want the core pokemon experience, but it's a step in the right direction for people who want something different

It's great.

swsh hate was pretty overblown in the grand scheme of things. it still had its massive flaws but it turned into a decent game (With DLC, sadly)

arceus is a top 5 pokemon game of all time

Charizard isnt in the new one so its basically worthless

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is my favorite Pokemon game so far. It has its own issues, but it's much better than the traditional games, imo.

Because this game is made by gamefreak and not outsourced like the other examples of yours

historically Gamefreak has also developed the remake games and they even outsourced BDSP so they could work on this

that's what sw/sh was. not shit for exploration and puzzles, just catching and battling easy trainers.
