Tis 1. In XIII Serah was a teenager but in XIII-2 with that bow she was 21.

If the intent was Serah in XIII but just used the wrong picture - 4, 5, 7, and 8 are Vaan, Squall, Ann, and Sora and are all teens. 10 is from Dragon Quest but i dont know his name or age.

Wiki says Eight/Hero is 18.

8 is a roundabout, 1998 copyright, but listed as Square-Enix, but while it is close enough to place the character, it is not the art style of the game, nor does it look like the in-game models. Also, wiki says she is 18.

Edit: Yeah, looks like XIII-2 Serah is intentional.

Ah. Never played XIII-2.

13-2 was the best of the trilogy and an unironically really good JRPG overall, as long as silly time travel plots don't turn you off

almost none of the general complaints against ff13 applied to 2 (linearity, how long it took for the battle system to open up, lack of meaningful character customization)

and then 13-3 was an entirely different genre than the first two games for some reason

I like the first two parts. And while I love Lightning, the third part was very different, like you mentioned. I could never fully get into it

You can never tell fuycking tell with anime characters because the main point is to design them to be aesthetically pleasing.

I would say #5 is the most obvious adult I have ever seen but I bet thats some BS and hes a teen.

he's a student (at a mercenary school, but still), so if you've played ff8 that one's easy at least in context

Pretty sure that's fan-art, Squall does look believably 17 in his official art.

Oh yes this character picture is a bit more ambiguous, where as the first one shouted adult, this one doesn't really shout a specific age. I'll always stick to my guns that anime characters in general aren't designed with age in mind and seems more like an afterthought for story related purposes.

The reason I say this is because people always seem to have an obsession with thinking video games affect real life, the most notorious thing being violence in video games. But more recently it's shifted to an obsession that people aren't allowed to find a fictional character attractive if their canon age isn't 18. I'm a straight dude but that the character was designed to be attractive and bears no obvious difference to a character such Cloud who is canonically 21.
