that depends on how much alcohol is consumed each session. having a drink or two, even on a regular basis, isn't going to hurt your brain. but getting drunk literally kills brain cells and is not good for you. i don't really know where the line is drawn and how much is needed to start frying the brain tho

Plus, it severely damages the liver. However, a glass of red wine everyday is good for the heart and won't hurt you.

I was abusing alcohol for a good 2-3 years a while back and my memory has gone to absolute shit. Both short term and long term.

My uncle died from alcohol induced dementia. Its basically Alzheimers that is caused by alcohol. It was horrible seeing him go that way. He got to the point where he didnt even know how to talk or eat. It was awful. It was due to a lifetime of drinking. He was a very successful man but he drank every day for roughly 30 years.
