I do think games should have easy modes, and games that feature easy modes are perfectly fine - anyone who bitches out a game for having an easy mode when their preferred difficulty balancing is still available is a dumb asshole. On the other hand, developers who want to provide a specific level of challenge should be able to do so in accordance with their vision. If From Soft made a game with an easy mode, good for them. If they didn't, I respect that they had a vision and they stuck to it. Imagine being the sort of dumb drooling fuck who downvotes a game for having an easy mode. I do think games should have easy modes, and games that feature easy modes are perfectly fine - anyone who bitches out a game for having an easy mode when their preferred difficulty balancing is still available is a dumb asshole. On the other hand, developers who want to provide a specific level of challenge should be able to do so in accordance with their vision. If From Soft made a game with an easy mode, good for them. If they didn't, I respect that they had a vision and they stuck to it. Imagine being the sort of dumb drooling fuck who downvotes a game for having an easy mode.
