My character kept hopping off the horse whenever I'd turn sharp corners and I couldn't figure out why. It was utterly wrecking me in horse combat because I'd always hop off the horse at the worst possible time (dodging enemies).

Turns out it's because Ultimate Genius From Software mapped the Crouch button to the L stick (click) and I was accidentally clicking it while turning, resulting in dismounting and crouching.

FFS From Software why did you design it that way

Although humorously, I got so good at horse combat (by accident) that I beat this boss without even getting hit - the guy who gives you the golden halberd
