Even after two seasons I cant really say what the show is about other than teenage drama. Its a good show but it has no purpose and no goal to be accomplished. I dont think that was about Jules being in high school. A guy like Cal thrives off power and manipulation. He was shaken because he was finally in a position where he was at the mercy of someone else. It was scary to him to be in a position where he had lost control. He saw his own life potentially getting blown up right then and there. Eventually he took it into his own hands and just blew it up himself.
