As someone who enjoyed the previous 4 movies as well as the TV show, it was a fun watch. I was leery going in because i wondered how they can make a fresh story, keep the meta social commentary jokes going and still have it not feel like a cash grab and they passed with flying colors. I see there's already a 6th movie greenlit.......again i'm leery, because what if it runs out of ideas and feels lazy and uninteresting? I loved it too. Probably my second favorite after the original. The guys who wrote it are great; they also wrote that Ready Or Not movie that was a surprisingly great horror comedy, and I feel like they transitioned very well from that to Scream.
