In 2008 one of my friends in college was posting on B8 during class, and I started posting on B8 before I moved onto PotD because I didn't like how B8 was focused on contests.

I wanted to discuss the poll and followed the link.

I was posting on the brawl boards pre launch and voted on the poll every day and eventually went to the board

We used to come here for strategy guides, and we'd always come vote and post on poll of the day when we did.

Those were different times.

I was 13 and was looking for FAQs on Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life with a neighborhood friend. Had used a couple other FAQs I recall, but I asked a question on the message board and found it fun/funny. Definitely saw the PotD board pretty quick because I'd vote in the poll.

I think I came across PotD by actually voting in the poll.

By the time I got here the whole Chelle thing had ended and I remember some Bakery on a Cooking show being infamous, which got me to stay.

My dad is PO.

I missed my chance at getting a Monster Hunter Demo. I had signed up and did everything right, but I never got the email with the demo code in it.

Dishsoap told me there was someone here giving away extra copies of the code. I decided to see if I could get one. Raganork gave me one.

I decided to stick around after that.

Made an account to talk about Blue Dragon, then eventually ended up reading the listicles they had on the front page, and eventually started doing the polls after that.

Then I got stuck here and never left a decade later >_>

I was tired of the Runescape General Board in like 2010 so I came here. I discovered it from voting in the poll of the day.

think i wound up here in 2001 while looking for smash bros melee cheats.

I don't remember, probably from the list of social boards.

I just scraped the bottom of the barrel, kept digging another few miles down past old trolls and bubbling crude oil and discovered the worst of the worst.

I came here during the height of the Chelle-craze this board had back around 2010.
I think. I dunno, that was over a decade ago and my brain don't like to remember things that happened over a decade ago.

I made a topic here on a different account that got nothing but awful troll responses, so I decided to stay and check it out.

I used to come here exclusively for cheat codes. I answerer the poll and one day wanted to discuss the poll. Then I found out what kind of place this was and stayed away for years because it seemed boring.

This, back in 2010ish. Prior to this I was hanging around the WoW board, but given that I'd quit in mid-2009, moving to a proper social board instead of trying to socialize there didn't take much convincing.

Just from the front page of GameFAQs a few years ago. I was bored posting elsewhere so gave it a try here.

From the daily poll. And then during that last time (back in 2014 -- jfc, time flies), some PotDers shot their mouths at me, so I stuck around for an argument or two, and I've kinda been around ever since.

So for anybody who bitches about me, you can thank the likes of Jen for me being around. Of course, I've had her blocked for years, so she won't hear my thanks.

As for Gamefaqs itself, I started visiting the site in maybe 1998 for OoT stuff, although I don't think I made my first acct until 2000-2002 because I wasn't interested in the forums back then (especially since I had the MtG forums)

Similar, but it was 2005 and I was bored at work so I entered the contest and started posting in B8. Then after the contest I got tired of B8 and went to their "rival" PotD (back when people cared about such things).
