But W/E...end it..

It's a horrible thing, and one of the few things we can change, easily.

DST was a system invented by idiots and implemented by idiots. If the sun rises earlier, and you actually care about that, just wake up earlier. Don't change the timezone for everyone else.

I would love for it to happen.

You get more time outside. Whats not to love?

I live in gorgeous San Jose, California. I love the idea of having more time to spend outside in daylight.

I can't truly comprehend the full implications of this without much thought, but all I know is that prior to this last change I was driving home in the dark and now I am not. I am in favor of me not driving home in the dark.

The two of you above me dont care for brighter evenings?

I feel like thats such a big deal. As a said earlier, driving in the dark can be pretty dangerous.

Tired from work + road rage + darker evenings = more car accidents.

whichever has the sun at its hightest point in the sky at 12:00.

I don't even understand daylight savings, in summer the sun is out longer/later so why would we need to move the clocks forward to make the sun be out later???

Every reason Ive seen against it has been kind of dumb tbh.

Like, boo hoo I dont wike dwiving in the dawk in da mawnings

How about be grateful for that instead of being blinded by the sun on your way to work every day.

Or wont somebody PLEASE think of the children??

Just give em a flashlight and something reflective to wear.

It being lighter later is so much better than the sun going down at like 5:30, I cant believe people argue against that.

I leave for work at 5:30 AM and leave work at 4:30 PM.

I'm always up between 4:00 AM or 4:30 AM.

Never mattered to me what time of the year it was or if it's light or dark.

I don't care either way. I probably prefer to not change the clock because there isn't a point for me. It's like the weather, it is what it is and it's dark in this season while less dark in that season

The one thing I don't get is why wouldn't they make standard time permanent instead?

Because most people prefer light longer in the evening than earlier in the morning

I don't tend to work a 9-5, I've had a lot of 2nd and 3rd shift jobs, including delivering pizza as the evening/closing driver. Also, pretty much all the accidents I've been in were during the day when there are more cars on the road.

https://www.salvilegal.com/personal-injury-law-blog/4-reasons-why-serious-car-accidents-are-common-at-night

According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), almost 50 percent of fatal car accidents happen at night, despite the fact that only about 25 percent of motor vehicle travel takes place during the night hours. Clearly, your chances of being involved in a serious or fatal car accident increase substantially when you are on the road at night. Understanding the common factors that contribute to these serious accidents may help you avoid them, or recognize signs of negligence that could bolster a personal injury claim if you are injured in a nighttime car crash.

Get rid of it. It's an outdated concept. Arizona is one of the few states that mostly doesn't use it. It's pretty awesome to not have to adjust every cock x2 a year.

The only complication is that if you have meetings with someone in another state things get more complicated since sometimes you are 1 hour apart or 2 hours apart.

https://www.thebarnesfirm.com/do-more-car-accidents-happen-at-night/

More than 40% of all fatal car crashes happen after the sun has set. This is a jarring statistic seeing as though theres 60% less traffic on the roads. That means that your risk of getting in an accident is much higher at night.

I cant believe people seriously try to use that as an argument against daylight savings time. I have a feeling that most kids would be happy to have longer days when they get home from school.
