Shogi yes, but I've played maybe only a handful of games against people (all but one against my brother). I've played a few CPUs too.

I haven't learned mahjong yet.

And to add another, I know how to play koi-koi with hanafuda! I have played it twice and could probably use a refresher.

shogi not really, I havent committed to really delving into that in a Yakuza yet

I know how to play Mahjong as long as the red tiles have numbers on them, as I haven't been able to memorize the symbols from the back half yet. Though playing with the numbers on the tiles is probably why I still don't have them memorized.

I know how to play mahjong in Yakuza. Not sure how well i'd do playing it irl though.

I could move the pieces if they were labeled in English, but I don't understand any of the strategy. Even though I love March Comes In Like a Lion, none of it has translated to game knowledge whatsoever.

I'm objectively pretty good at mahjong, though.

It's one of those things I understood for about five minutes and then immediately forgot the moment I stopped actively using the knowledge. Would like to get back into it.

Mahjongg I have the gist of Riichi but a lot of the finer points of rules and strategy I don't have. Don't ask me for a long list of yaku or how scoring works, either. Hanafuda is roughly the same boat (but a lot easier so I would need less of a refresher)

I'd need a refresher on the rules for Shogi. My friend has a Mahjong set so I've actually played that one in real life a few times. Also played a good amount against CPUs in various things. Still not very good at it! I do know how to play though.

Riichi mahjong, enough to win in Yakuza games. Expecting me to call riichi in an in-person game, definitely not.

shogi yeah, but I'm not very good and I haven't played in a while. I probably couldn't explain the rules to you, and I'd likely need to be refreshed on the rules before playing a game right this minute.

mahjong for sure. I play almost every single day and I think I'm pretty good, although there are a lot of players who are better than me.
