I've heard a good amount of their songs, but I never dove that deep into the drama in the band. All I've gathered so far is Lindsey Buckingham is a simp for Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie cheated on John McVie because he's a drunk or something?

You know that Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were together for like, well over a decade, right?

I don't know that much about their personal history. I did see they were in a band together before they joined the rest of Fleetwood Mac.

Short version:

Buckinghm & Nicks were together for years before they joined the group-- they even have an album released previously that featured a couple of songs they would revisit during their time in the band. But, not too long after joining, they split up and subsequently had arguments & whatnot after that over the years.

Fleetwood later had an affair with Nicks. From everything I've heard, they remained on good terms even after it was over.

John & Christine McVie were married for a few years but divorced around the time of Rumours, in part due to his drinking. He eventually sobered up in the 80s, and they have generally gotten along well.

And it led to one of the best goddamn albums of all time
