I randomly saw it for sale at Books A Million. Looked it up, apparently it's a staple in the horror book circle. Me not being a huge horror fan to begin with (out of lack of exposure, not necessarily because I dislike the genre), I figured I'd go with it. I loved the intro. Thought it was badass and wanted more. Then the time jumped to Strauss, which I didn't mind. But I'm about a third way through and I'm just...bored. I recommended it to a friend who is a huge reader (one book a week I believe he said he aims to get), and he says he's about more than half way through but hasn't touched it in a while, which I understand. I actually feel like a jackass for telling him about it while I started reading it. Anyway, does this thing pick up? I'm struggling to stick with it. --- Don't lose your dinosaur. I've read it and it's probably my favourite Clive Barker novel. I enjoyed it all the way through but the intro was definitely the best part of the book. --- Save for your doomed future ... Copied to Clipboard!

About when does it pick up and get "scary?" Or if I'm not into now, am I basically not going to enjoy it? --- Don't lose your dinosaur. GregShmedley's alt. ... Copied to Clipboard!
