So I was just trying to do some weekly challenges and ran out of challenge swaps and was left with a challenge for getting 7 caps in CTF. The only way to play CTF is by doing a ranked match and even then you only get CTF by chance. So I can't just immediately hop into the second most popular gametype in all of FPS games.

Why is this the case? Seems premeditated. So why would they want to do this to us? TO MAKE PEOPLE PLAY RANKED.

Why do they NEED people to play Ranked?

To get people used to the BR? No, enough people are used to it.
It's to get people used to playing without a radar. The radar is incredibly small in Halo Infinite. It seems that they want people to become accustomed to playing on a more competitive level. The problem with that though is that you only hear an open mic 10% of the time, if that, and that's just one person.

Back when I played Halo 2 competitively, it was common knowledge amongst competitive players that the radar was removed from MLG settings because team communication was meant to be its replacement. The problem is that hardly anyone speaks in ranked matches though. So, the radar should be made larger in general and ADDED to ranked matches.

THEN, they should make a separate 4v4 playlist that requires a full team of 4 to start. This playlist would not have radar for for the sake of competitive players. Also, remember that there are custom games in Halo Infinite, so if it were up to me I would leave the competitive players to play their custom games and meet on Internet forums and ignore their advice about the radar.

Also, if 343/Microsoft wants team communication, then stop censoring TRASH TALK. It makes things fun and competitive. If you want competitive players, gee idk maybe set up a competitive environment.

Ah ok good. Still silly that I can't just play team objectives games or CTF 100% of the time if I want to.

I mean you can play CTF in BTB too, so it's not just limited to ranked.

The playlist issues were completely solved a long time ago in MCC. You have total freedom in what you want to play in MCC, so the only explanation for it being so shit in Infinite is that they're doing it deliberately.

Damn, I guess I was very wrong on that, but I hardly play BTB. Only enough to get all the BTB-required achievements. It was usually Strongholds and the powerseed thing when I played.

I just wish they would fix the fight with Escharum. Once I die for the first time I instantly die as soon as the game reloads and I can't get away from him.
