Nanobot Swordsman
Class: Effect
Type: Cyberse
Attribute: Dark
Level: 4
Attack: 1400
Defense: 1800

Effect: While this card is in your hand if your opponent does damage to your life points that total 1000 or less, you can banish this card to negate that damage and send a number of cards from the top of your opponent's deck to the graveyard equal to the first digit of the total life point damage (if the damage was 1000 it counts as a ten.) You may only use the effect of any "Nanobot Swordsman" once per turn.

Compared to all the turn 1 win condition nonsense, a card that only triggers when your opponent actually hurts you seems pretty mild in comparison.

Yes I would think taking no damage and forcing your opponent to discard 10 cards at barely any cost to you would be broken in most games

Honestly, with the way Yu-Gi-Oh! utilizes the graveyard, sending that many of your opponent's cards to the gy might be a very bad idea lol

It's not very good imo. It's a mostly dead card in your hand. Doesn't start or extend any plays and requires your opponent doing a small amount of damage to you. If your opponent gets to a point where they can start hitting your lifepoints you're probably gonna lose anyway, and the cherry on top is sending a bunch of cards to their graveyard is more likely to help them than hurt them too. with how often graveyards are basically a second hand.

Could potentially be devasting, but one per turn kills it and you'd have to build a deck around it to try and make the most of the effect. Hand disruption would basically bend your deck over and ruin your strats though. IMO it wouldn't see much play if any competitively and if it did gain a foothold somewhere in the meta counterplay would keep it from the upper tiers. More of a experimental junk secret rare type of card.

Theres a brand new meta deck that is dominating in Japan right now where the entire archetype banishes cards from the opponents deck and wins by deckout. This card would be an added tech to it and make it even better.

That's... a weird card. Like, if it has to stay in your hand to trigger that effect, why even make it a monster card? Depending on what kind of deck they have, sending a bunch of cards to their graveyard could be OP, but like others have said, it could also shoot you in the foot.
