First off, if you want to play this, play the translated Japanese version (called "Assault Suits Valken"). It has the entire story uncensored, has character portraits, and doesn't stop you mid-game for every dialogue box (only some of them >_>).

It was a fun game and I really liked all the level set pieces. Like one level has you flying through an asteroid field schmup style and then transition into zero-gravity mech fighting, and then another level has you shooting other mechs while you're all burning up and entering Earth's atmosphere, among other fun levels.

It basically plays like Gun Hazard and Metal Warriors, though you can't hop out of your mech >_> There's a bunch of weapons you can use, like missiles, machine guns, lasers, mech punch, and they're all upgradable by pickups, so it adds some variety in your playthroughs. The game takes about an hour to beat and has 2 endings, depending on if you failed any missions or not. Of course I got the good ending where you bang your hot big titty anime dispatcher >_>

Speaking of the art, the art for this game is pretty good! The actual in-game graphics are okay >_> but the backgrounds look good and the cutscenes are awesome.

The guy who supplied the art for this game is Satoshi Urushihara, best known for being an artist on the Langrisser game series, and artist for such anime and hentai as Plastic Little and Front Innocent >_> He is best known as the "King of Breasts". So of course that gets a plus in my book!

I know we went on a weird tangent on boobs, but basically play Cybernator (preferably the Japanese version). It's just a good, fun game from the 90s. Simple as that >_>

The small handful of times I managed to beat it, I got wrecked immediately by the next one. I think I only reached the ground at the bottom of the sky drop one time.

I haven't played it in over 20 years, though, maybe I'd do better nowadays.

Actually, I never played it, mostly because I heard the same things. Even as a kid it didn't interest me without the Angel sections.
