If you scaled down a tiger to the size of a Felis catus, how much less violent would it be?

It would be equally violent because Felis catus is not actually fully domesticated.

Panthera are felidae

But not felinae from my understanding. And if that's the case they would be felids? And not feline?

I've been confused about this a bit for a while. I guess feline has been commonly used for cats for so long now, but I'm wondering how modern cladistic taxonomy changes that.

You're not telling me anything I don't already know and I guess you're not understanding my question.

Colloquially, feline has been used to mean cat or catlike. In modern cladistic taxonomy, felinae is a subfamily of felidae . Panthera is the other subfamily of felidae which tigers are classified under. By this categorization, tigers are felids but NOT feline and I'm wondering if scientists/biologists make this distinction .

Would calling a tiger a feline be technically, scientifically incorrect?

when youre asking taxonomic question you rarely ever get a consensus agreement. Thus there is no right or wrong answer here. Sorry if this is a dissatisfying answer but it is what it is. For the record I still consider them felines.

Let's assume the distance is 3,000 miles. They will meet up at a point 1800 miles from where the tiger leaves California and 1200 miles from where where the tiger leaves New York. Tigers will need about 5% of their body weight every day so assuming theses are male Bengal tigers, about 20 pounds of meat (to add, tigers go through a feast and famine cycle so they can go long periods with eating nothing, then gorge themselves). At 30 hours, they will need 25 pounds of meat. So only one person is needed by each tiger (they won't eat the skeleton also, but that is not factored in this scenario).

Depends on the individual tiger. It is unlikely they intentionally torture animals for the pleasure of it like humans seem to ascribe anthropogenic traits to other animals. Mother tigers will bring small prey animals alive back to the cubs so they can practice killing it.
