I can't believe they keep adding all these things to the game. Seems like every few months I check up on it and it's vastly different every time. I decided to try out the VR mode with Oculus Link (bit wonky but very cool) and when I landed on a planet, there was a literal city with characters, quests, etc on a totally random planet.

Probably bigger cities than a Bethesda game too

It's had coop for a few years now.

It's flippin' crazy how much they've added to the game. When they turned the Space Anomaly into a multiplayer hub with portals to anywhere in the galaxy, it really improved the experience a ton since you could move to a part of the galaxy where there's other players / discoveries.

But adding cities and whatnot gives a certain "life" to the galaxy that it didn't have before.

Yes, a few years ago they basically created a seamless multiplayer nexus out of the Space Anomaly, complete with a central mission hub, exploration/combat/etc multiplayer missions, a Stargate-like portal where you can enter coordinates and teleport anywhere in the galaxy, etc.

Still need to buy this damn game. I remember when it first came out and it was selling for around 5 on Ebay because it flopped so hard. Never thought it would do an FFXIV.

...it's not a dodgeball. It's almost absolute zero and it's nothing but storms and ice. And like 100% red ocean during the day.

I want to like it but whenever I play it I feel they just want me to build cool stuff with my friends. I don't have any friends! And if I did, I wouldn't want to build bases with them! I want to explore the galaxy by myself discovering cool stuff. Not gathering resources endlessly.

I can't believe it's been over 15 years and we still haven't surpassed Spore's space stage. And that was only 1/5 of the game.
