I see a lot of middle aged/older people driving to the grocery store by themselves. That piqued my curiousity in terms of what beneficial design changes could be applied to a car for trips with single riders. The design I was considering yesterday was a front passenger seat which folds down to a flat 90 degrees then offer a movement/stain resistant back which allows lower mobility persons an easy spot to stash groceries/whatever. I suppose the biggest problem this design would produce would be distractions while driving, but there might be solutions for that on the market.
