Algebra has been useful. I dont really remember trig or calculus that well, but sometimes when I read physics I wish I did.

Honestly I barely remember most of it lol. Calc 1 was derivatives and shenanigans.

Calc 2 was integrals and shenanigans.

Calc 3 was Calc 1, but in 3D and other shenangians.

Calc 4 was even more integral and matrix shenanigans.

And I 100% forget what I even learned in calc 5 >_> but it was definitely some shenanigans

I used trig to figure out some things for projectile arcs in a game I was making with friends, though that didn't pan out. Other than that, no.

Geometry and some Algebra 2 stuff, yes.

Pre-calc and trig, no.

I think the whole point of things like algebra and calculus is to help with critical thinking and knowing how logic works when it comes to numbers.

Kind of. Understanding higher math has been helpful just to understand how the universe works. Physics, economics, viral spread, and lots of random things are all better understood when someone has studied calculus.

I also have pointed out to my kids more than once that the world we experience daily is made up of triangles. If you can model the world in triangles (mostly trig functions), then you can do a lot.

I use a lot of statistics, which would have been way more difficult to understand when I learned it without calculus concepts (not that I remember any machinery).

I never actually put enough effort to understand what they do. I just kinda brute forced memorised how to do them for the exams. So you can imagine how I absolutely hated it.

Maths was kinda easy enough at GCSE level so it was 'fun' but then the jump at A-levels was quite shit. You really had to practise with past exam papers, I think most of my friends in those classes did.

Nope just addition subtration multiplication and division. All you need.

Calculating percentages is a standard lesson in any Algebra 1 high school course.

"What is 20% of X?" is not a multiplication question.

Only when I stat crunch in video games.

Nothing past basic algebra. Everything else should only be taught at a college level because 95% of us never use it. Some of that advanced stuff was only applicable in real life if you were trying to plot lunar orbits or something.

No. All I use is calculator apps and google. That's all you need.
