Amazing game. Man was it long though lol. But with this complete, I've now beaten every main Yakuza game on PC. LAD is the first time I've done all the substories though.

Holy fuck did that ending piss me off though. It went from very emotional and touching with Ichiban's performance especially with that "Don't make me watch my brother die" line and almost moved me to watery eyes to immediately pissing me off and hating it thanks to Kume. I would have accepted Aoki killing himself over Kume showing up out of fucking nowhere and stabbing him while being extremely creepy. It took all of the impact away and just left me feeling like "wtf that was so bad."

Anywho, can't wait for Y8! In the meantime, guess I'll finally finish Judgment. Think I'm only an hour in despite trying it in 2020. Dropped it to finish off the Yakuza games first. I already have Lost Judgment since I got it for Christmas. Shame on that guy's agency for not allowing it to be on PC!

I liked it up until chapter 11, but chapter 12 and everything afterwards made me dislike it.

the whole increase in difficulty was lame, IMO, and I don't like how contrived a bunch of the story revelations ended up being, especially since they had nothing to foreshadow them.

I did like Ichiban and his friends, though.

6.5-7/10, for me.

That boss fight in Chapter 12 was the first time I actually died (excluding a random encounter from trying to explore the map VERY early in the game and getting 1 shot I think). I was NOT prepared for that. Decided to do the Battle Arena then came back and beat it.

Also, it wasn't until after I beat the game that I found out you can upgrade the weak weapons into the ultimate weapons. Usually in other games, I'll upgrade that weak weapon just for the hell of it. Didn't try it here for some reason. I only found out because I saw it in a guide for ultimate weapons. I thought it was very strange that I wasn't finding stronger weapons after a while. I should have known I guess.

I just decided to finish that one business mini-game so I could get the ultimate move, and then I stocked up on items that replenished your mana.

That business mini-game was pretty easy once I got the hang of it. I met all deadlines and never went down in shares, but I think it was between rank 70-100 before I realized how the shareholders meetings actually worked. But MAAAAN is it annoying how slow that animation is whenever you start a sales period. And then the menu to show the results. So annoying.

Ah the business minigame, took me far far far too long to realize there was an auto make everyone happy button.

I really like Ichiban as a protagonist. One of my favorites; just such an endearing character.
