I heard the first 4 episodes are weird cuz the director was trash, and then they fired him and got a new director that made the show better from episode 5 and onwards. Is that correct?

Konata is the blue hair smug chick, Kagami is the twintail girl, Tsukasa is her short hair sister, and Miyuki is the pink hair chick. So far Miyuki seems like best girl >_> Kagami is funny tho

It was peak KyoAni back in the day, but between the Haruhi Suzumiya/Aya Hirano wanking and other things, it does feel a bit dated.

I did hear that there is a lot of Haruhi references because the voice actors are the same and the studio is the same

I remember dropping it originally partway through the first episode thinking Lucky Star was stupid

But then gave it another chance after enjoying everything else KyoAni had done and it was great

I always thought Kagami was the best.

I don't particularly care for Kagami either, but I know she gets pretty good art.

I like Tsukasa, but part of that may be because her design is a blatant copy of To Heart's Akari, which the anime pokes fun at a few times. Also, balsamic vinegar.

And Konata knows her loli appeal.

Those are just a series of 5 minute shorts about cute poor girls doing cute poor things. If you like Lucky star might as well check it out. Not a very big time investment.
