Well, technically 99 others. Every day, we take turns writing it from person 1 to 100. Each person will ideally write 2-3 pages depending on how the story is going.

I can't really promise a premise because the idea is, on your day, you get to do whatever you want with the story. When I said 2-3 pages, I mean it'd be in rounds because on your day, you get to write only up to one microsoft word page.

I'm sure the story will be a mess by the time it gets back to me on day 101.

Thank you to everyone volunteering. I will respect randy's wishes of not being #1. I will randomize the order, though, so anyone could be in any position (unless specifically requested to not be a particular position).

As a whole, I will not interfere too much. There will be a guideline in terms of needing to fulfill certain elements of a story, though, i.e., there needs to be a clear beginning, middle, and end.

Other than that, people can run wild. Perhaps if someone tries jumping from the pace of the story in a particularly egregious matter, we may consider rejecting it, but I don't really want to make too many rules. It is meant to be a weird mish-mash. You introduce too many rules, and it might as well just be you writing it by yourself.

The tone of the story is expected to be all over the place as we go from neutral to crazy and exciting to random and confusing.

An actual word count would be a better metric than a page in Word. Im guessing like 500-700 words?

Was going off TNR 12pt font, 1-inch margins, so I'd say a good limit is 500 words per day. Obviously, can be much shorter if a person doesn't want to write that much.

Is ot okay to use wordpad instead of word? I use that for writing because word always tries to make me pay for it or some shit

How many words is "1 page" ?

I've seen another board do this multiple times btw, have you considered making a google doc everyone can edit? There can be different sections of the novel (if it's a novel...), people can work on the parts they want to or people can start new parts. Just a thought.

That sounds like a good idea for another project at some point. For this, though, this will strictly be a page-by-page basis as I like the randomness that comes from it, and I think it's easier for people to digest the idea of only having to do 1-page than seeing the entire project as a whole.

Also, I'm keeping notes of everyone saying they'd be in! Yet again, I appreciate you guys that are volunteering.

In theory, I'd at least hope you'd read the last few pages to get a good idea of what's going on.

I will create a summary page that gets updated as the story goes along so people don't have to read 64 pages if they'd rather just write something up. I'll also update a character list so people know who's been introduced and their status at present.

In the end, it should still resemble a moving plot or it'll just be a collection of 1-page stories.

Alright sign me up. I have no problems being #1 if that matters.

Heck yeah! And no worries, your question has not been asked yet. If someone misses their day, we'll probably just skip over them. If they need to reschedule, that's fine, we'll just shift them to another spot.

Then we roll with it. As I said before, if we try to police it to a great degree, then I might as well be the one writing it. They have 500 words to ruin the story, and the rest of everyone has their own 500 words to fix it.
