Mine is a level 10 creation bard, probably some of the most fun I've had. The subclass is amazing and can essentially let you create an object to be your familiar. It can fly, attack and has hp.

Half Orc fighter aka my Baldurs Gate character made it to 5e.

I haven't played dnd as a player in a while (other pnp systems yes), but I am dming dnd

I've been playing since about 1997/98, but I'm currently in between games.

I'm always the DM, but I've managed to switch to a player role 50% of the time for the past couple of months.

3.5e Hellbred (race), Paladin of Freedom 6 (it's a variant that lets me be Chaotic Good and frees up class restrictions a little) / Barbarian 2. I get to smite and rage at the same time. Enjoyable combo. Have plans to prestige into a fluff changed Champion of Gwynharwyf to fit our setting.

The very first session, the DM decided to have a BBEG strut into our tavern. The party was average level of 5. He was CR 15. He entered by using blood magic to pop out of one of his servants in the tavern, killing the guy. We watched an innocent bystander get ripped open from the inside out in the middle of the place.

Well, the party somehow finagled the arrogant BBEG into a drinking contest. A party member or two passed out. My character was still chugging, then the BBEG passed out. In a drunken rage, I used a coup de grace on his helpless ass. Beheaded him right there in the bar when he rolled a 1 on the fortitude save against the damage. The DM still grumbles about that absurdity. lmfao

I'm pretty much my group's dedicated DM, but I do have a character waiting in the wings that I want to play when the stars align and I'm able to.

He's an incredibly timid kobold who accidentally became a warlock when he found a strange bottle, opened it, and was tricked into making a pact with the genie inside.

When I read over the Genie option in Tasha's, it immediately sounded like a lot of fun, especially being able to enter the vessel and hide/rest inside of it.

I have a level 5 Vengeance Paladin, currently using a great axe that is possessed by a celestial being of some sort.

I wanted to play him as a religious zealot type but kind of pivoted to more of a dumb (rolled low intelligence) Batman

I've always wanted to try a paladin, they seem so powerful and do so much. But they require 3 stats to focus on, heavy armor, big swords etc.

They get knocked because of their restrictions, usually. And the "lawful stupid" stigma. But they're some of the toughest characters in the game. Might not hit like a fighter, but you aren't taking them down quickly. And you can flavor your paladin to be different from the other "shining knights."

Also, having access to a mount that sometimes more than doubles the amount they can move around on the battlefield, is insanely awesome. Ride up on a mount and unleash a full round attack on the enemy and you're gonna feel great.

Currently have a Human Storm Herald (Tundra) Barbarian... He's simple but fun to play as...

I spent my recent days off writing new character concepts but who knows when I'll get to play those...

Level 8 warforged armorer artificer.

She's a tanky motherfucker who takes hits, makes saves, and has an assload of utility. She's the party tactician/planners, so she sometimes goes into stealth mode to scout ahead and analyze enemy weaknesses, but her favorite kind of plans are the ones that result in no fight at all.

I've been toying with the idea of a Hill Dwarf Tempest Cleric that was raised by halflings

It's been a few years, by my last character was a cleric based roughly on Father Jack Hackett.

Halfling rogue, arcane trickster, currently closing in on level 12. He's a ton of fun, I love Reliable Talent.

Satyr Draconic Sorcerer, level 8. Dudes a hipster art student

Never played, but the character I've come up with is also a college of creation bard with some amount of warlock thrown in. Changeling that works for a primordial creature of sound that claims to be the embodiment of the Song of Creation. Wants to collect the various "notes" that were the first sounds that eventually coalesced to form reality. Impossible sounds like a hummingbird's heartbeat, a cat's footstep, a false hydra's song, shit like that.

Instead of singing or playing a lute, he would use his shapeshifting to alter his body so he could make the godawful eldritch noises that is the entity's "language". So you see his neck move around in a gross way, he starts making a noise like dial-up, and you can add a Bardic Inspiration to your roll.

To expand a bit on this, the party I'm dming for is currently level 6 and we have 8 party members:
-Elf ice themed sorcerer, the only evil party member (worshiper of Auril), has a penguin familiar
-Half elf plant themed druid, has a walking mushroom companion and tries to be everyone's friend
-Human knight, mostly stoic and quiet and is kind of the fall back to guy when things go south
-Human barbarian, stupid beefcake himbo, takes any opportunity to drink, armwrestle or try and fuck someone (either gender)
-Human wizard, conjuration focused, likes to summon elementals and use lightning spells, mostly amoral and only cares about learning stuff
-Air genasi warblade, our resident melee dps, they one shotted one of my mini bosses at level 4 when they did like 46 damage in one hit or something, doesn't talk much
-Human scout, sniper variant, likes to climb trees and shoot stuff, always drunk
-Elf Druid, dinosaur themed with a dinosaur companion, actually nice like the other druid (the only 2 good aligned characters) but doesn't make the best first impressions
