Cannot see Dentist till this Friday as well. Fuck. Getting Orajel in the morning.

Having had a two-week period a few years back where I could barely sleep for the same reason, my full empathy here. Dental pain is the fucking worst.

Do you have hydrogen peroxide? I've had one toothache before and it was the only thing that eased the pain for me. Tastes awful, and gotta make sure you spit it out, but it really numbed it for me for 20-30 mins at a time. Something to try in the meantime maybe.

Nope. But do have Listerine, which doesn't seem to do anything.

Clove oil works wonders, I used it when I had dry socket (nightmare), get some gauze drip clove oil on it and apply it to the owie for a bit. Guessing tc doesnt have any tho :/

A salt water rinse works wonders. Just make sure its as hot as you can stand as well as as much salt as you can stand

Peroxide also works, but I dunno what the above poster took, because mine doesn't taste like anything. Foams alot though.

Got an early booking today because someone canceled. Thank God. Apparently, I had an old filling that fell out, and some cavity formed around the area. Also got a wisdom tooth behind that's pushing on it. Got my cleaning, and filling in. Also found out I may have mild sleep apnea as there are signs of teeth grinding, so I booked to see a sleep specialist for next month. Tooth is still throbbing, and some pain, but not as bad as before. Thanks for all the helpful response guys.

Mix salt in warm water and rinse. It dulls the pain for 1-2 hours at a time. Enough to fall asleep

oof, damn. at least you got there earlier than expected.

tooth pain is. the. worst. i'm able to fall asleep with it, but my dreams are terrible with tooth pain, even worse than fever dreams.

Also, for those that may go through the same thing in the future, save your money on Orajel. It does jackshit besides numb your tongue abit for 5 minutes, and gone.

You dont have to be fat to have sleep apnea. Just putting that out there, I didnt realize that until my brother was diagnosed.

Sometimes for me it actually made the pain worse. Especially if you use too much.

When you get a filling done, it can mess with the nerves in your tooth, which can cause a throbbing sensation. This can last days to weeks until they settle down.

My condolences. Tooth ache is the worst fucking pain.

I had an awfulntooth ache some time back. I took the maximum dose of ibuprofen and excedrin and that really helped. Made things bareable and let me sleep and eat without agony.
