I looked into going during the draft, but my rate of play didn't justify comps that would make it worth the trip. Thursday night rooms were looking upwards of $200 WITH my status discounts applied at shitholes like Excalibur and Luxor. Would've been fun but I can't afford that shit. Plus the more I thought about it, literally everywhere on the strip is going to be mobbed. Half the fun of Vegas is just walking around when you're hungry and popping your head into a nice looking restaurant. The last thing anyone should do on a Vegas trip is overbook. Takes away all the spontaneity. I don't wanna be bound to a rigid ass schedule the whole time, planning around dinner reservations and whatnot.

usually two pair per night. i am a huge overpacker for vacations in general, but even vegas moreso when i know i'm gonna be walking around a fair amount and probably will want a shower break at some point in the day or before getting into bed

Yeah I've stayed there twice actually. Heard their basic rooms leave a lot to be desired, but both times I went I was in a Tower Spa Suite which had a jacuzzi in the bathroom, so naturally I'm a big fan of that. But man the property is fucking huge...

No dice on that, season ends before I go. They had a game in town last time I was there a few months ago but even walking up to the booth the day of for nosebleeds tickets were still like $130 each, not worth it for two tickets. Maybe if it had been just me I would've. But even cross checking with the resellers and they were still about that much.

I've heard decent things about some specific neighborhoods that can be pretty cool. Yeah it's the desert but having the strip and mountains would be a lot of fun. I hear shit's getting way expensive out there though because of the california exodus.

Kansas City is a great place to live but it is not a vacation destination, no argument there. Can't speak to the rest of Missorui though, I've only been to Branson and I was like 11

Nothing planned, I try not to overbook. Fortunately it's just two of us so a wait time has never really exceeded an hour even on like busy nights.

Any recommendations?

We tried Hell's Kitchen last time, was really fucking good. Braised short rib for dinner and toffee pudding for dessert, god damn

May have to try there. Heard it's a bit pricey for the quality, but the atmosphere makes up for it apparently? Or that the chefs are sometimes the former hell's kitchen chefs from the show?

I walk past the place constantly, I'm surprised I haven't tried it yet anyways

You gamble much or just going there to have a fun time? Im on the east coast and one desire I always had was to go out to Vegas, I might move there eventually, Im a huge gambler though so that place is like my Mecca

I'll be going out sometime in the fall, can't wait! Soon as the NFL schedule hits in a few weeks the planning will begin.

No more pricey than any other place on the strip tbh, but certainly not cheap. I liked the food a lot, atmosphere was fine

A fair amount, I bring about a grand for gambling. Usually split between blackjack and slots, though I really want to get into craps at some point but that's tough without a posse.

yessir. i went out for the chiefs title game earlier this year. the game was a letdown, but i walk out of the sports bar onto the linq promenade and i'm like oh fuck yeah im in vegas, what football game??
