I played this way back in the day on the 360. Was my favorite game at the time. My 360 is long dead, but Ive been updating my old PS3 library. My friend has an old GOTY Oblivion disc, and I took to the internet to find out if the dlc was on the disc or no.

What I found was apparently PS3 didnt get some of the add ons. I LOVED the Vile Lair. This version never got that? What the hell? Also, apparently the GOTY has a specific bug in it in which vampirism is glitched and incurable. Is this true? Apparently the work around is to simply buy or install the vanilla copy of the game. Can anyone confirm this? I dont wanna buy the vanilla version if that version also has that glitch. Apparently the witch wont accept the ingredients in this version, and since you never get Vile Lair (I remember you could cure vampirism in a special pool), youre equally screwed.

They're fine on Xbox consoles. I played a shit ton of Fallout 3 on the 360

I agree with you all. However, a PS3 is what I got to work with currently, lol. Just wondering if its at least functional and if so, does the vanilla version spare me a horrid glitch?

ps3 had awful handling of third party titles, to the point where fgc tournaments just stopped using them entirely a few years in.

I have a PC copy, but my old PC is fucked. I mean, I could probably fix it if I found the time. I just figured if I could get this version working right, itd be more convenient is all. Im well aware Bethesda and Sony dont mix. They seemed to rectify it on PS4. I tried Skyrim on PS3 years after I had played it religiously on 360, and even though it had seen many patches, the PS3 version to me was noticeably choppy and problematic.

Played Skyrim on PS4 and it ran better than ever. My research seems to be turning up that Bethesda just couldnt design them right with the PS3 specifically. I remember Dawnguard was delayed for MONTHS

I heard didnt things online. Some say FO3 worked fine. Others said it was horrid. Did you have all the DLC installed?

True PS3 version didn't get some add s. Plus one bug they never fixed in any update was the fact that the bigger your save file got the more it was start to lag and eventually just crash on any attempt to load it.
