dmc 3 comboing is still pretty fun imo and offers a different enough experience to try to master it despite dmc 5 existing. Its combat is more restrictive when it comes to comboing on DTed enemies (which is more difficult than comboing non-dted enemies). you pretty much have to learn the dt stun/knockback mechanic and the shotgun glitch to really master it.

example combos by player "475" on a dted mook. relaunches are accomplished by him basically piecing together attacks that correspond with the stun/knockback values. if he had added in an extra attack the enemy would have not been relaunched at all. so the most challenging part of dmc 3 comboing is just working with a set of rules. it is not as free as dmc 4 and dmc 5.

there is a slight learning curve involved for sure but prob not as hard to master as dmc 4 and dmc 5 overall probably.

a pretty efficient way to spam aerial cross (agni & rudra air attack). Generally the 3rd aerial cross will make heavier enemies plummet to the floor but by placing shotgun blasts point-blank in intervals you can keep spamming them. shotgun has a decimal in its knockback value which glitches the way the game counts it allowing for infinite aerial cross or hammer loops. unfortunately i don't remember this value and it changes depending on the level of the shotgun lol.

My own sequence isn't applicable in the vanilla game since I'm using a modded game so I have 3 weapons equipped and I replace doing helmbreaker with aerial cross which has the same knockback value. also a level 1 shotgun has diff knockback value than a level 3 shotgun. most people upgrade shotgun to level 3 by endgame so this sequence I'm doing will need to be altered slightly. blowhard had a video of how level 3 shotgun loop but was deleted.
