I usually play all Kirby games but I've skipped this one, how is it?

Its good. I like boss battles, and Im pretty good at playing support for folks. Its also free to play (I paid $5 because Ive spent that in worse ways).

Theres not like a story or anything. Basically just boss fights with other players (who usually kind of suck ass and eat every hit they can)

Kirby Super Clash is a pretty fun game. I need to play that again.

Kirby year 30 is currently ongoing, and Ive had no trouble connecting with others.

this franchise is only going to get more popular, so I dont see the game dying anytime soon

I dont think the game is dying. To me, it kind of feels like watching a shows with friends where they started at the beginning, but you came in halfway through the season. Maybe youll pick up enough to understand whats happen and become very interested. Or maybe its too much and youre not sure you want to start the show so far in If that makes any sense Haha

Beam Mage and Dr. Healmore seem to be my favorites for now

I main Healmore and genuinely cant imagine not having a healer. Barely anyone runs him.

Yeah I can definitely see healing being essential in later quests. Also I'm not entirely sure how to use Science Lab

Down B lets you charge up a potion with different effects

Red- Pillar of Flame with high vertical reach (really useful for Platinuming certain fights)

Blue- Blizzard with less height, but slightly higher damage (?)

Yellow- Three thunder balls fall on either side of you. I think this one does the most damage.

Green- Healing potion that restores half your life. You can walk over to other players and share the effect too. Red, Blue, and Yellow seem to go in a set order, but Green is entirely random. Sometimes it shows up a little /too/ much

After charging your potion, you can jump/dodge and move, retaining the charge until the next time you press down B. Just dont get hit, youll lose it.

Once you get the hang of dodging (its really just like smash bros) bosses become a cakewalk because the game hands out I-frames like its no ones business

I'm glad recent Kirby games have implemented dodge rolls and air dodges, they feel good to use. Also it's very satisfying to land a fully charged Hammer Flip. Fun game

Id probably use the healer, as well I like playing healers is many games
