Looking good. Great production values as expected from HBO. I'm cautiously optimistic since HBO knows GOT was a cultural phenomenon and their biggest ratings hit ever, so making sure it turns out good at very least should be a priority. Also the backlash from the series finale...

For those who are curious, this prequel is based on the second half of the book fire and blood which Martin released in 2018. It's part one of two, and unsurprisingly part two isn't done yet so this HBO series is going to end up with the same kind of filler ending as the original. It also wasn't supposed to be published until after the main series was finished, but I guess he gave up on that.

Well hopefully they just take the story skeleton and switch it up a bit ...or a lot. At least book purists cant hold the quality highground this time around.

No, the show will only cover part of that book. Its like a history book, and excellent if youre into that kind of thing. The story theyre telling in the show has an ending.

Yeah like The Silmarillion but it only covers a couple hundred of years. I absolutely love both books.

Looks good. Been rewatching GoT the last couple weeks. Almost to season 4. I'd forgotten how great the first few seasons were.

I bet it'll be 10 seasons long and GRRM still won't have released the next book by then.

It looks meh. I don't find the DoD to be as compelling of a story as the Bkackfyre Rebellion.
