How do you all deal with your (finger/toe) nails?

I have a terrible habit of ripping them out but it feels so good! I bite them, tear at them and even trim them with proper nail clippers.

My toes have gotten ingrown toenails before, so I miraculously broke that habit of tearing out my big toes nails from the coroner.

How do you all deal with your nails?

By clipping them.

Biweekly mani/pedi. My nail person comes to my house.

Only having use of one arm makes the task difficult.

Painting my nails slows me down, but once the tips start to chip, I just go at it.
That's why I'm surprised I stopped picking at my toenails when it's so difficult to stop with my fingernails.

I bite my finger nails. For toe nails, when they get long enough, I use my finger nails to pick at them until they come off.

I don't think i've ever actually used nail clippers before.

Never cut my toe nails in 10 or so years. I just take the top of with my fingernails when im bored.

I cut them as short as I can to discourage what I think is a mild case of dermatillomania. Probably not healthy but the alternative is worse, so... *shrug*

I use nail clippers to trim them like a proper gentleman. If I'm seeing a lady friend I will also file them to make sure there aren't any sharp corners that might cause discomfort when brusing against sensitive skin. I have a couple of pill bottles full of nail clippings. I'll find something funny to do with them eventually.

I used to bit them and tear them off. But lead to them becoming very uneven and ugly looking. It took several yeara of proper care to them even and looking nice again.

I bite my fingernails when I am bored, so they never get long. I do file them once in a while so they don't look ragged.

I clip my toenails about once every two weeks, usually before I shower so I can wash off any nastiness that was underneath them.

Yep. I used to bite them but it is much more easy and healthy to just clip them.

Clip, clip. If a teensy too long, they will scratch my screen protector, making transparent lines.

I don't do anything to them unless they somehow break below the quick then I clip them as low as possible so they won't hurt. Or if they break off ragged them I clip them. I couldn't tell y'all the last time I polished them.

and as to saving clippings, thats some ancient OCD. no witch is going to steal your soul if you clipped on the wrong day.
crazy Picasso saved his hair and nail clippings but they arent in a museum because it would be gross.

Lately I haven't been adding more. I just need to find something awesome to do with the ones I have. I originally thought it would be amusing to put them in the fried rice at a local Chinese buffet. I decided not to do that. Could get in a lot of trouble and it would be a really shitty thing to do.

I'll find something amusing and harmless.
