Expensive rents, house prices are insane, salaries have been stagnant while council tax has increased yet again. Public transport is up again with Brexit making things worse. Tories wont do a damn thing except make us pay even more while telling us there are jobs out there. When there isnt. People I personally know literally working themselves to death in this city. Some of my friends do so much overtime they have no extra time to spend going out to socialize or meet new people. People are leaving here to go other places. Almost every single expat I know who came here literally has gone back to their home countries. This includes friends from Japan, Bangladesh, Taiwan, China, Netherlands and Finland. Most of the issues could be solved by allowing immigrants in, but they hate foreigners so they aren't even considering the options.
