Successfully soloed Second Coil Savage just now, so that's off my to-do list, except maybe getting a High Allagan headpiece since I got all the other main armor pieces already.

Edit: went and got that piece real quick and I will never wear it but at least its there

Completely up to you and your own financial situation, I'd say. Personally, I pay for the Entry-level subscription ($2 cheaper than the Standard one and is a monthly charge, so I can cancel if I know I'll be really busy for a month or otherwise occupied with a different game). I can comfortably afford it even if I misjudge and end up playing far less than I would've ideally wanted to in a given month. FFXIV is just an outlet for relaxation for me that I always come back to.

But if $13 per month is a noticeable cost, then yeah, perhaps it's not worth it if you can only play an hour each week (about 4.35 hours per month). Again, the game respects your time, so you're not gonna miss out on much if you're unsubscribed for a long time.

If you haven't tried playing the free trial do that and see if the amount of time you're playing feels worth it to you.

Yeah, this seems like the best way. Plenty of stuff to do before you decide if you want to spend.

6.15 dated for June 7. Some of the recent PvP updates are being toned down (on BLM specifically) and Frontline-specific balancing will begin in 6.18.

Literally. Frontline is a hell of Scholar, Summoner, and to a lesser extent White Mage spam right now, and will continue to be until they bop their LB charge rates to not be "at least twice a skirmish if not instagibbed"

I havent seen BLM being problematic in CC myself, but that could be because I'm a bard player and take advantage of the heavy proc.

Scholar is so ridiculous in Frontlines. Makes me feel like pre-ShB Scholar with Bane, which I never got to experience. That being said, yeah, it and Summoner are definitely way too strong in Frontlines. I'm gonna miss being OP, but it's a completely fair and understandable nerf lol

Finally finished off the Aglaia armor set last night (which I promptly posted in the XVI topic, oops). Just need one more P4 run and I'll be done with the DRG gear from the current (non-savage) raids.

Didn't have the prereqs done ahead of time (oops) so I unlocked the new tribal quests about half an hour after daily reset.

Catchy tune in their area at least.

I cleared Dragonsong Ultimate tonight. It's easily the hardest Ultimate. Fun fight and very satisfying to execute properly. I like that they didn't include any puzzles and just made a straight ahead, balls-to-the-walls difficult fight.

too bad the weapons all look like shit lmaooooooooooooooooo

I'm stuck in phase 5 because my static only does 9 hours a week and we've had multiple nights of fill-ins and just a couple of people who... take a bit too long to perfect mechanics, causing random deaths to "Oops I forgot to take my tower" over and over some nights.

How many hours did it take you altogether?

I played WAR. Total hours... judging from my Twitch VoDs and guesstimating at removing breaks, it's at least 100 hours in instance, possibly 110? A lot of that came from wipes when someone wasn't focusing on a mechanic before our prog point. The fight is absolutely brutal at punishing inconsistency, it really does demand your attention for 19 minutes straight and if any one of your 8 monkeys screws up it's most likely a wipe.

Have they nerfed any of the past relic quests recently? Specifically Eureka Hydatos and the last parts of the Resistance weapons?

yeah i mean we straight up don't even reach our prog point more than a couple pulls a night at this point lol. it's going to be brutal if people mess up wrath/death once we're on phase 6, but we've actually practiced them in xivsim so i feel they won't be as big of an issue as the random nidhogg deaths lol

Wouldn't saving Haurchefant and sparing Thordan in the new timeline count as puzzles?

I'm still stuck on Nidhogg. People too inconsistent on meteors still. Wish all 8 people had eyes, but alas.

I suppose if you really want to get technical, maybe. But honestly people figured out to tank LB day 1 and the world first group never bothered killing Thordan once they saw you could spare him - neither is anywhere close to the degree of eccentricity of awakening the primals in UWU or the Enigma Codex in TEA.

Finally got all my Trusts to level 90. What a grind.

How long did it take? I feel like Trust runs take quite a while, at least in ShB.

81 dungeons in total each one taking 30~ minutes so a little more than 40 hours I guess.

It's decent for levelling. I did the same thing in Shadowbringers and it's not as fast as running roulettes, but you get decent exp

Hey it leveled a lot of jobs. I've only got 4 left now! Also I generally watched stuff on my other monitor while I played.

Bozja is a ride! I kinda wish the fight at the end of Delibrum Reginae was a normal trial.

I'm kinda scared but also excited to get to the end of Bozja. That one Critical Engagement with the freaking Chocobo almost wiped everyone lmao
