NeonOctopus 05/09/22 3:00:31 PM #1:	I'm saving up to buy property and it feels good to see progress like 6 figures in my account. Literally 10 years ago, I only had $12 in my account and was living paycheck-to-paycheck at a job that paid $25k a year. But I kept working hard and improving myself, got a new job, got promoted twice, fixed my credit to be 830+, contributed a lot into retirement, and most importantly: lived well below my means. Even tho I make way, way more now, I still try to live like I still make $25k most of the time. I don't need much >_> I guess my lesson is never give up. Keep improving your skills and your studies and don't get complacent. Don't be a person that just bitches about a bad situation and does nothing to take matters into their own hands. Opportunities will arise from your self-improvement and hard work. It is nice to once in a while buy something and not have to worry about breaking the bank. I still limit myself with luxary items like video games, and look for sales whenever I can. Especially back then I really had to plan out my purchases for games and what not. I'm always grateful for my blessings and I don't want to take anything for granted. I've seen those stories about poor people who win the lottery and then blow their winnings within 2 years because they don't know how to budget themselves >_> I always tried to be responsible: both when I was really penny pinching and now.
