The best way to survive on GameFAQs is to never talk politics or religion, never reply to someone trying to argue with you or bait you, and only be positive.

If you do all that and people still don't like you, that's on them, Arv. The mods are just people and lots of them are young. It's just a job and of course they aren't always right, but it isn't about right/wrong. It's about power. They have it, we don't. The ToS isn't even a true shield.

Just stay friendly and avoid their sensitivity found on politics and religion and you'll be ok. And if you must reply to the trolls and the baiters, replace your anger/emotional response with humor.

To be honest, if people stuck to the first part of that, the site would be about 1000x better.

The downside is that those sorts of topics and posts are basically becoming ubiquitous as most of the worthwhile users leave, so it just makes the whole site worse by proxy.

I've said for a while now there should be a hard ban on political topics, posts, and discussions on this video game message board. Because they almost always descend straight into shit and accomplish absolutely nothing of worth or value.
