I've kissed a lot of girls, but I can't get a girlfriend. It feels like I'll never find one. Pretty depressing.

Until I started dating my girlfriend, I was single for a year and a half (not counting random dates or girls I was with for only a couple of weeks or something).

I've been single for nearly a year and its not by choice. I've had all the sex I could possibly want but nothing past casual dinner or movie, followed by sex, then rinse and repeat.

37 and always been single. Never even tried to not be single.

I don't really mind. I'm not big on giving or receiving intimacy.

And honestly, a lot of people make being in a relationship seem like absolute hell. Look at the Johnny Depp thing, just as a currently relevant example.

My last relationship was for 17 years and I ended up leaving because I was ignorant and lacked the current knowledge I have on dealing with my ex's alcoholism.
Our relationship was excellent for about 12 or those 17 years. Its easy for the bad to overshadow all the good. Human beings allow this to happen all the time.

You'll eat at a restaurant for 5 years and enjoy good food and service but the one time its bad will stick out in your memory.

I hear that from my best friend. He gets sooo much booty so easily with the immense amount of horny men on hookup apps. Guys actually looking for relationships is a bit more rare though and the few that do have standards incredibly high.
