Any time I've had one it's either been bought for me or been a hand me down from a relative.

Well today I finally had enough, my TV I'm using now is on its way out, it's taking ages to switch on, I'll try and switch it on but it goes off again 2 seconds later.

I'm getting a 4K UHD Smart TV, getting it delivered tonight between 7-10pm. I own a PS5 so wanted an upgrade and it was quite cheap, 219.99 plus 4.94 delivery

Nice.

I got a 65 inch LG C1 OLED tv earlier this year. It's amazing. Expensive as fuck but damn the picture looks good.

Yes, big decent TVs are quite cheap today. My first LCD tv I bought it for 620.99 for a 32 inch back in 2008. Thats when they started to come down in price. Flat screens at the very beginning were thousands of dollars for sizes like that.

I have a 50 inch 4k samsung from 2017. It cost around 500 back then. Looking to upgrade some time soon.

Yep, UK brand, my current TV is a Hitachi that outputs in 1080p.

My sister has a TV with soap opera effect but don't know which TV's have it, I was a bit turned off by it at first when I was looking after her house and watched a bit of The Irishman but now I appreciate it more. Means I'll be able to use 4K UHD movies now.

I have a 42" LG 1080p in my bedroom that my school district was literally throwing out. I just had to get a $25 generic tv stand. It was made in 2015, so not a very old TV and it has a good picture

It's hard to explain but I know exactly what he's talking about

Movement is like, super fluid to the point where things jump out of the screen... idk it's so hard to explain. The movement is almost TOO smooth.

It's called 120hz. Either native, which is much more expensive, or through motion smoothing technology, which is fake 120, but still gives the soap opera effect.

This TV doesn't have it.

I got one last summer for $1899 at Video Only. I still haven't seen it cheaper than that. I'm coming from a Panasonic plasma (g15, 50") and OLED motion fluidity still isn't as good as plasma, everything else is better though. The inkiness of the blacks hnnnnggg

Congrats on the new TV. The first TV I bought myself was in 2014 (I still had a hand me down TV in the living room though). It feels good to choose one for yourself.

The one I have now is a 55 inch Samsung Q80T. Most expensive TV I've ever bought, but I love it.

What does age have to do with anything, I'm not bragging about anything. If that's your attitude then, I don't know what else to tell you.
