What did the girlfriend start? This is on par with the way Americans became racist to innocent Muslim people following the 9/11 attacks.

Imagine if people in Afghanistan or one of the dozens of countries USA has invaded did something like this. I wonder what would people's reaction be like in this case.

I feel like, if second and third hand accounts of what the Russian military is doing to Ukraine is enough to make some people less sympathetic to dead Russian soldiers, imagine what it's like for people on the front lines.

this is the least they can do to vent their anger, frustration, helplessness, and what ever other negative feelings they must have.

I dont think Numbers was implying that taunting a deceased enemys girlfriend is the same as invading an entire country. He was saying that theres no reason to act cruel and inhumane like the enemy.

This is nowhere on the level of acting like his enemy. If getting a little shit spoken to you by an enemy soldier was all that Ukrainian women had to worry about then this would be a completely different discussion. This is a bit different though. People hurling abuse at random Russians, even those who have nothing to do with Russia isn't the same as hurling abuse at those who stand by people committing war crimes, rape and attempted genocide.

It's still a shitty thing to do and they should rise above being shitty, no matter how much anger or how justified they feel. The Russian soldiers being utter monsters doesn't mean they need to be shitty as well.

Of course, who knows if she actually does or even supports the war. She very well could oppose it and want him out. But as far they are concerned, she's complicit and supporting Russia's crimes.
