That sounds pretty great to me. I use the default "weight loss" feature on my gym's elliptical, which is 33 minutes inclusive of cooldown. I set it on max incline and high resistance and can barely match your 30 minute output.

And I love making the plunge into more cardio once I hit my 30s (after neglecting it in my teens and 20s). Yeah I'm leaner now, but I feel better and I rarely tire doing regular physical activity. It's a boon to my confidence when I'm out hiking with friends and am just enjoying the atmosphere while they're gulping down air. A couple weeks ago, a friend and I saw a man pushing his broken down car on the road and stopped to help. By the time we pushed it a few minutes to his home, the man and my friend were fucken spent and I wasn't even breathing hard. At that moment, my cardio made me feel way tougher and physically capable than an extra 50 lbs on the bench would have.

So keep at it!

Cardio hasn't killed my gainz. Though I admit if I didn't have a heart issue I probably wouldn't do it and I'd just go all weights.

I just fucking hate cardio days because I'm an absolute drenched sweaty mess after it's over and I feel like I wanna die.

Though then I shower and rest a bit and I feel amazing so Iunno

That's how I feel about lifting. You got to do some martial arts to make it interesting. When run on the other hand, I pretty much enter my head.

372 kcal in 30 mins is like 10 METs, that's pretty good. You're not exactly gonna be able to maintain 20 for that long. Weight wise, you'd burn an extra 10 kcal per pound of muscle, so you'd need to gain like 8 pounds of muscle to increase your metabolism to match the effect of 1 hour's cardio per week. It's pretty effective for weight loss.

There's plenty ways to make cardio more fun. The gains killing thing is a myth. Running strengthens the knees and actually prevents arthritis. Keeps you in shape for running from all the pitbulls too.

I've had the most success losing weight in my life with cardio. Of course, I've never been super overweight or anything, but doing cardio really helps you get in shape.

I tend to do 40 min Elliptical cardio (35 min + 5min cooldown), then do a few weight machines including abs, and then finish my workout with HIIT running on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

I usually feel great after, so satisfied. I wish I had put the time into getting into shape with cardio in my 20s that I ended up doing in my 30s. I used to have knee and feet pain when I rain, low confidence, etc. I feel like just going nuts on cardio would have really made a difference
