While looking at one of their eyes or alternating between them?

My gaze tends to wander, I don't spend much time making direct eye contact.

I always look into their eyes, but my focus quickly shifts to the ones where their eyebrows are much more expressive.

I only look away if their breath stank, though.

I struggle with eye contact a lot. I've gotten better at it, but I've noticed that I alternate looking at one of their eyes then the other. Noticed that others do it too though.

Usually it's an awkward moment, laying in bed next to the person that I love.

Only they don't know this....

Or that I'm in their house again. :/

The reason I ask is because when someone is close your eyes usually have to focus on just one of their eyes, you cant look at both at the same time. This happens all the time when I talk to someone sitting directly in front of me while we're eating or something. You start to become conscious of the fact that you can really only focus on one eye at a time. Its kinda weird

I enjoy focusing on their mouth more to get an even better sense of what they're saying, but sometimes I'll switch to their eyes just because that's the thing to do.

If anything, I enjoy talking to people without looking at them at all, but I'll use eye contact to emphasize stuff.

Like closer than normal? I only know one person who does this and I usually keep eye contact and occasionally glance away and then back again (never exactly knew how long to hold or avert gaze). Sometimes I feel like its too intense if you never look away. Thats how cops do it sometimes.

Not closer than normal, just the normal distance someone usually is when talking directly in front of you, like while sitting at a table.

I look at something completely different than their face. I can't stand making eye contact with people.
