We got him when I was like 16, so hes old, and last time I saw him I knew it was going to be soon because he was having trouble getting up and stuff, but Im still sad as fuck.

gonna go see him for the last time after work today.

Later, you might benefit a bit from fostering some puppies or kittens. That's what my family is doing after we lost 2 cats in the same week.

I have a cat, hes not really my dog anymore its more my moms. Its gonna be hard on her.

but shell get a new dog and everything will be fine in a couple months. Its the price you pay for how happy the animal makes you for however many years its alive.

You can get the ashes turned into a memorial stone for her garden (if she has a garden). We did that for my mother-in-law when her dog passed and she loves it

I'm sorry. Honestly a big reason that I haven't had any pets in a long time is because I just hate saying goodbye to them. I got abandonment/rejection issues.

Sorry for your loss. Always difficult to put down a loved pet.

I love animals but they are too much responsibility and really dirty up a place. Your reason is valid too. It sucks to lose someone

I told my grandma about how places can do things with the ashes since my sisters first dog may have to be put down soon. Even though its my sisters dogs, my grandma keep them at her house and everything

This is probably the only downside of pets to me And yet, its not enough to stop me from adopting them

All dogs go to heaven. My condolences.
