Here we go. In regards to my previous post, instead of reading and watching through everything (yet again) this video pretty much sums up the blatant contradictions between their testimonies now.

Cant wait to hear what Jenniffer Howell will have to say about the case next week.

Edit: disregard the second part of the video where he analyses their body movement. I personally don't believe we should be judging what they say is true or not entirely on body language.

I'll be very, very surprised if Johnny wins this trial. All Amber needs to prove is that he was abusive at any point, which has pretty much already been done but everyone keeps ignoring it for whatever reason. I'll be surprised if Amber wins her countersuit though as well.

One thing that amazes me is that there are people that dont see Heard lying and giving a terrible acting performance.

Its so obvious, her stories she tells when being questioned dont add up at all. She isnt acting like most victims do in domestic abuse; if she was an actual victim she wouldnt be looking at the jury all the time trying to convince them, it would be really difficult to look them in the eye.

It's not "obsessively" defending Depp to point out the flaws in what TC is saying.

"I'm not defending Heard but maybe Depp did beat the shit out of her." is a large statement.

And the fact is Heard made herself out to be a heroic domestic abuse survivor publically for years. Then her testimony goes beyond being simply "Inconsistent." in fact the events and dates of her Testimony have literally changed on the stand.

She has mountains of photos, videos and recordings of Depp in their private life. A lot of which Depp didn't know he was being recorded. And in pretty much literally all of them Depp is trying to get away from Amber and there is no record physical or verbal of Depp laying a hand on her.

Meanwhile there is audio recordings of Amber admitting to hitting to Depp, admitting to throwing things at Depp and photo/visual evidence of Depp being hurt. Amber claims these are photoshopped and everyone who isn't her (including random doctors and cops) are all lying,

Amber claimed Depp repeatedly punched her (with fists full of heavy rings) until her nose was broken, she was bleeding profusely and covered in bruises. Then went on TV with no signs of any of this, went to a doctor who didn't record any of this.

On Cross only 3 out of 100 of the questions Amber's lawyers asked got answered because all the rest were Hearsay due to a complete lack of evidence.

At the same time she has been so creepily manipulative with her testimony. When she made her deposition she was smug and cocky and mocking. Then when she was on the stand she was so sad and heartfelt she couldn't look up and kept "crying" without tears... Except when she was interrupted and it all stopped.

And then after that was criticized she's suddenly not doing it anymore but instead is pulling sad faces at the jury while not answering questions.

It's just a really bad look

I fully agree that the internet reaction to the case is kind of weird.
And sure Depp is a fucking weirdo and druggie.

But the "Come on guys, both sides. Don't hate Amber just because she has a vagina." is a really bad take and boarderline a low key support of abusers take.

I find it impossible to believe that if everything in this case was 100% the same except you inversed the sexes, you would be responding to Heard admitting to hitting Depp and constant lying with "Yeah well Depp probably did bad stuff too."

I think anyone who has had experience first or third hand with domestic abuse is going to find your and TC's points at best completely ignorant and at worst grotesquely offensive. That's what they're objecting too.

Not an obsessive defense of Depp. A hurtful response to the complete failings of the justice system and a large part of society to respond to the abuse.

There are people I know who were routinely beatean and abused by their partners who would be in tears if you walked up to them and said "Yeah well maybe you're a piece of shit too and it went nuclear!"

The people going yeah but Depp are the same type of people that go Republicans are bad but Democrats and use the enlightened centrist bullshit.

What gets me is that when the trial is over and Heard is validated, it changes nothing. The people who defend Depp as an angel will fall back on the same old tired sexism "of course a woman won."

People who keep trying to bOtH sIdEs this don't realize that we never ever "both sides" when the women are seen as victims.

Either way, there isn't really much evidence or any at all that Depp physically abused Heard. There is actually tons of evidence that she may be lying or exaggerating about a very long list of things. She has tons of stories filled with massive holes that are easy to poke at. She comes off incredibly disingenuous on the stand and she is supposed to be a professional actress.

Heard/Depp trial is just the latest show on modern reality tv channels aka social media. The last episode was a murder mystery starring Gabby Petito.

Pretty weird how people involve themselves so deeply, or speak with such conviction on things they are not apart of and know very little about.

Imagine being upset that people follow a major news story. The case of Depp and Heard is one of the most (if not THE most) high profile cases ever pursued in which a man is the victim of abuse by a woman. It's laying out a huge and important precedent on a global scale.

Of course people are following it. Not only is it important, but it's also pretty fucking hilarious to boot.

It's a matter of human cognition. Our brains are wired specifically to create binaries in order to, probably, minimize energy use and maximize brain activity during extreme survival situations (Famously, "fight or flight" being a prime example).

We're capable of nuance, but it is usually not our instinct.

I've been seeing this type of sentiment from TC going around a bit and I find it frustrating.

If you've followed the trial, it's very clear that Amber is the monster here and she's being turned into a meme because of how much of a piece of shit she is. She absolutely deserves it.

Johnny may have snapped back and said things but by all accounts he managed to stay remarkably calm for having someone like Amber Heard literally goading him to get mad.

Johnny has been consistent and so have the witnesses for him, even some of the witnesses called by Amber's team have actually helped Johnny's case, not hers lol. Johnny comes across as a slightly odd and eccentric guy, but he's kind and I just don't see him as the type to be an abuser. I have close friends who have been abused, Amber reminds me of their abusers.

Two very key pieces of evidence are Amber Heard's own words of "I did not punch you, I was hitting you. You are such a baby, grow the fuck up, Johnny." and "Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, 'Johnny Depp, I, a man, Im a victim, too, of domestic violence and see how many people believe or side with you."

Those two snippets alone are all it takes to convey what kind of person she really is. Literal audio recordings of her gaslighting and tearing him down as much as she possibly can. It's honestly horrific what she did to him; famous actor or not, drugs or not, Johnny Depp did not deserve to be subjected to this woman's manipulation and abuse.
