I think there's a term for this. Ghost hearing or something. Anyway my wife was watching this documentary about the Menendez Brothers an hour ago and here I am wasting my time on YouTube shorts just swiping away when suddenly it shows me an interview about the Menendez Brothers. I have literally never searched anything related to it on my phone or any of my devices.

A week ago we were talking about buying a new bed and all of a sudden all our ads on our phones is about mattresses and shit. Really makes you think.

i mentioned castaway with tom hanks via text HERE and got ads for castaway on hulu or peacock or whatever the fuck the next day

I turn all of those settings off that I can find

it's still listening in, of course, but it gives me some sense of peace of mind

of course your shit is listening. and anyone who thinks "oh it's just for ads it's harmless" sure as shit isn't seeing the bigger picture.

that said, i've at least accepted it. i never write say or post anything that i am not comfortable with being tied to my identity. people who think they're safe behind keyboards are sorely, sorely mistaken.

You can't convince me otherwise. All I did was tell my wife we need to find someone who wants our old mattress since we got a new one a few months ago. Next couple days nothing but mattress ads.

It's annoying when it hears a show you're watching and gives ads for the show you're watching. Like I'm clearly aware of it and don't need those ads.

Yes and it doesn't let you turn Bixby off which annoys the shit out of me.

I have a Google Nest Hub in my bedroom.

Whenever someone says on TV "call *someone's name*", my hub attempts to Google Duo face cam with them.
